MapleLNGNova Scotia, CanadaIn March 2006, 4Gas with its partner Suntera Canada Ltd purchased the MapleLNG project, located at Goldboro, Nova Scotia. This project will serve the substantial eastern Canadian and North Eastern United States natural gas markets. In March 2009, 4Gas assumed full ownership of the MapleLNG liquefied natural gas project following the purchase of Suntera Canada Ltd. interests in the project. The Nova Scotia project will initially include three LNG storage tanks of 160,000 cubic metres capacity, providing a send-out capacity of 9 bcma. The development will be phased, starting at 9bcma and expanding to 18 bcma. The Goldboro site will be able to receive LNG carriers of up to 250,000 cubic metres. Final Environmental permit was received in March 2008 and the Permit to Construct was issued in June 2008, allowing a scheduled start of production in 2012.
